Considering steady and growing demand for prescription medications (no surprise here), and fluctuating demand (at best) for the “booze” (available at most pharmacies), the business should be flourishing, right?
OK, the business may “flourish” for some pharmacies, but what about us, the customers, and the ones that are interested in quality services?, i.e. visiting a pharmacy, getting our prescription and getting on with our lives.
In respect to customers trying to refill the prescription medications, the services at a pharmacy are clearly outdated. Staying in line surrounded by other potentially sick customers is not much fun. On top, getting an out-of-spec prescription medication – could be very harmful to our health.
It is ironic, but the fact is – the quality of “booze” at a pharmacy may outperform the quality of prescription medications (surprised?)… And the consequences of taking an out-of-spec medication could be far more dramatic!
While modern automation technologies were introduced by some pharmacies, resulting in moderate success behind the counters (provider side), the customer services (our side) has not seen progress for years (agree?)…
Statistics in respect to the number of errors made during processing prescription medications in the USA alone are alarming. The industry experts (including NABP – National Association of Boards of Pharmacies), in my opinion, are trying to resolve the problem. Unfortunately – the NABP can’t identify a balanced business solution of improving the quality of customer services while at least sustaining the profit margins (typical headache?)…
I was told by a long time expert of the industry that when Google recently approached NABP and suggested a solution in a form of using one of the available brands of stand-alone auto-dispensing kiosks, the Board answer was very similar to: if Google needs this technology – then use it at your facility, and at your sole responsibility…
… and the awesome
Я–pharmacy™ is a scalable automation technology providing a balanced business solution for all pharmacies!
The errors are practically eliminated, the productivity of processing prescription medications is up (opportunity to lower the costs!), and the speed and convenience of serving prescription medications to customers is significantly higher…
If this sounds as a “win-win” situation?!… Well – it is!
Note, the IP technology is configurable for all kinds and types of pharmacies.
As for the customers (you and me!)? Well, it is simple as this – next time we do “show-up” at a pharmacy (Я–pharmacy™) for a re-fill prescription, there is a clear choice of being serviced with quality medications at the speed and accuracy at least equal to an ATM at a bank.
Please help Google to find this… their next visit to NARP could finally “break the ice”!
